Change is the only constant
Turn your business into a social enterprise so that you can keep up
The times, they are a-changin’
After a turbulent year of environmental activism and a daily dose of climate changing news, we rolled into a crazy era of a deadly pandemic that continues to hold us back.
But wait a minute. Is the Corona virus really holding us back?
Or, is this a start of a new beginning? A new world we’re being ‘forced’ to create. One that’s kinder, healthier and more abundant for all.
This current pandemic is a sign that we need to change how we live. Not only as individuals, but as a society. This is the first time the entire world is affected and many humans are starting to think, behave and shop more consciously than ever before. This is a good sign!
Because there’s still no motion of any government to make ecocide a crime and enforce that law, nature decided to take things into its own hands — or rather, roots!
Fact is: Nature is resilient. Humans and other animal species? Not so much!
In order to survive, we have no choice but to live in harmony with nature.
There’s nothing more that we want here at Ethical Brand Marketing. It’s written in our manifesto to help protect species and our environment with our marketing expertise.
Embracing this change will help your business thrive.
Why change a running system?
Consumers are now (finally) demanding more sustainability, honesty and transparency in the corporate world.
But also because causing harm to life on Earth and our environment is no longer an option. That’s it, we’re done with being destructive!
Business owners are currently responding by changing the way they:
- Run their business
- Produce their products
- Market their brand
If you or your customers want you to become more sustainable by optimizing your supply chain with ethical production and healthier ingredients, making internal changes to be ‘greener’, and investing in conservation efforts, you’re on the right path and have a huge opportunity to become a leader in your industry.
Let me help you turn your business into a social enterprise.
Dare to be rare
It’s uncommon — is there even ONE example?? — for a large brand to transform their business into a social enterprise without using greenwashing.
Greenwashing:
The act of giving a false impression or providing misleading information about how a company is more environmentally-friendly than it really is.
Greenwashing is quick and easy, but extremely dangerous as it only fools some consumers temporarily. Humans don’t want to be lied to and they always find out the truth which is never good for business.
The large brands are figuring out that they can’t get away with greenwashing. So, they’ve started getting external help to set sustainability standards within their organization. But, it’s a very slow and expensive process.
This is good news for you as an SME because it’s quicker and easier for you to change a few internal structures than it is for a huge conglomerate.
And it’s even easier for a startup to take this route than change later. Obviously.
What to expect with change
If you’ve been in business for awhile, transforming your business into a social enterprise will add extra work to your already full plate and it may also pose uncertainty during the strategic developing and execution phases because this is all new and there is a learning curve for you and your team.
Especially when it comes to creating an ethical marketing strategy without the manipulation which has become so commonplace, it’s practically invisible.
When you hire me to create your ethical marketing strategy and transform your business into a social enterprise, I’ll do all this extra work for you and work with your marketing team so that you can concentrate on your core business.
Are you ready to ease into this change?
Hiring me is right for you if you:
- Lack strategic marketing and sustainability development expertise.
- Have the expertise, but lack the time or desire to do it yourself.
- Don’t want to hire an expensive in-house marketing strategist.
- Are stuck too deep in your own business and need a fresh, new perspective.
- Want to concentrate on moving your business forward.
- Need to ease the workload of your marketing team so they can concentrate on creating content and engaging with customers.
- Strive to become an industry leader.
- Want to make a positive impact.
If any of this is true for you …
… then you’re in the right place!
Welcome home
Who your team will be working with
Hi, I’m Jessica, founder of Ethical Brand Marketing. I have a team to help me with various operational tasks, but I’m the actual person you and your team will be working with.
After earning my marketing degree in 1991, I’ve helped companies spread their wings and fly.
Yes, you read correctly. 1991. That’s how long I’ve been studying what motivates customers to buy, honing my skills in targeting different audiences — and putting activities in place that turn them into customers. And then keep them happy. Super happy.
As an advocate for ethical marketing, I don’t use manipulation tactics such as urgency and scarcity that make consumers buy things they don’t need, let alone want. These tactics are used to make us feel inadequate or arouse the fear of missing out (FOMO).
Instead, I encourage healthier consumption practices to help save species and our planet.
I’ll help you implement proven ethical marketing practices that not only inspire customers to support you but also help bring conscious consumerism to the mass market.
This way, you’ll have more loyal customers so that you can enjoy a bigger ROI.
So that you thrive!
Are you ready to move forward?
Word on the path
Get ready for a change
Once you’re ready to turn your business into a social enterprise, we’ll start by getting to know each other on a free 30 minute strategy call to talk about your business goals, current strategy, previous campaigns, etc.
You don’t need to prepare for this call.
If we’re a good fit and you want to move forward, I’ll send you a proposal and a project timeline.
We’ll then schedule another call to go over your proposal.
Once hired, I’ll schedule another call with you and/or your marketer so that we’re all on the same page. You can be as involved as you wish. But please note that there may be times when your team has to include you in the decision-making process.
